There has never been anyone in my life that has motivated me to push harder or reach farther then Kelli. She inspires me, even when she’s pushing me to do more than I think I can. I am where I am today because Kelli never gave up on me, even when I was ready to give up on myself.

“As a clinician and a person there are not enough good things that can be said for Dr. Kelli Velez. She is extremely dedicated to her craft both scientifically and professionally.”

I have known Dr. Velez since starting chiropractic school and have always been astounded by her knowledge, attention to detail, and drive to always learn more in order to become a better clinician. She has taken hundreds of hours of extra education above and beyond what was required of her with one goal in mind; become a better doctor for her future patients.

Dr. Velez has found a perfect balance of taking what she knows from her expert knowledge in anatomy and physiology, along with creative, outside-of-the-box thinking to most effectively and efficiently relieve patients of their pain and other ailments.

Dr. Velez has a passion for human movement and thoroughly enjoys educating and inspiring others to “get up and move” to better their own health.

I would recommend everyone who is suffering from acute injuries, lingering chronic ailments, or anyone wanting to learn how to move more effectively to visit Dr. Kelli Velez.

You will be absolutely impressed with every visit.

I went to Active Life Project for a torn rotator cuff. I was in a lot of pain! My orthopedic wanted to treat with cortisone shots, rest and possible surgery. I was ready to move forward with the ortho’s plan because I couldn’t even sleep through the night. Along with therapy, we used this amazing SoftWave Therapy machine and that helped me get pain free with all of my mobility back! Thank God I listened to my friend when she told me to go see him!

“SoftWave was truly a game changer for me!”

I’ve had countless soft tissue/muscle injuries over the years that would flare up due to lack of proper healing and never really knew what to do about it. The SoftWave Therapy benefits were almost immediate and it was also able to reach deep, recurring muscle pulls that no PT, chiropractor, massage therapist could properly address. I cannot recommend this enough, especially if you feel like giving up because nothing has worked in the past.

Dr. Dave is definitely an expert in his field. I am able to work, walk and stand again with no discomfort.. His techniques are not invasive as other standard chiropractor techniques. That is a big relief for me. His knowledge about other aspects of how the body interacts with additional health issues that I have is always enlightening. “Drs. Kelli and David are two of the most thorough, compassionate, and precise people I know.”

During our education I often looked upon them for tips and advice, in the professional and personal world that is still the case. If I ever feel I need a second opinion or a different perspective on a patients care they are the first I approach.

I cannot speak highly enough of them. When I seek care for myself I only trust them, they have worked on me a multitude of times with fast results.

One of their strongest qualities is that they are passionate and understanding. They give practical advice that is geared towards a specific goal in mind.

Their patients are in terrific hands.

“As a colleague of Dr. David Velez, I have zero hesitation to vouch for his services and expertise.”

Dr. Velez possesses a knowledge and understanding of the human body and the nervous system that is both impressive and reassuring to his clientele.

This proficiency comes not only from his scholastic career, but from a relentless pursuit of learning that can only be given to those passionate in their lifestyle. This dedication is all presented in a committed manner that wouldn’t differ from the care presented from a member of your own family.

Dr. Kyle MacPhereson

“Drs. David and Kelli Velez are two of the most dedicated and knowledgeable people I have had the pleasure of meeting.”

They both graduated at the top of there class with high distinction and have since kept that type of effort and dedication educating and treating their patients.

If you are looking for doctors that will help you reach your highest athletic performance or just looking to get back to where you were before getting injured there isn’t two better people on the planet to better serve you.

Initial Assessment (60 min)
Follow Up (30 min)

Comprehensive evaluations and treatment sessions to identify the underlying cause(s) of your pain or restriction and develop a strategy to get you back to doing what you love.

SoftWave Therapy

SoftWave Therapy is a non-invasive new technology that uses shockwaves to activate your body’s own healing response, regenerate tissue, identify and lower inflammation in the body, reduce and eliminate pain, encourage blood vessel formation, and get your own stem cells working again.

SoftWave Therapy is unique in that it can induce a healing response and tissue regeneration without having to damage the tissue first.

“I started working with Dr. David Velez because of my chronic back/hip pain along with a bulging disc that had caused trouble a while back.”

David came highly recommended and after just one visit, I knew I had found the right treatment. Dr. Velez not only worked to resolve my issue(s), but he helped me gain a better understanding of what is causing the pain, how to manage it, and ultimately a better view on how the body can heal itself with proper treatment.

In just a few months, David got me to a point of strength, confidence, and painless days that I never thought I would see again. Proper mindset will help provide a proper, strong body. That is one of the big takeaways for me from seeing Dr. David.

Fantastic experience and I have already recommended him to others.

“Prior to working with Active Life Project, my low back would chirp at me — like a smoke detector in need of a battery change.”

For a while, I tried to “tune it out” by using some over-the-counter pain medications. But the longer it “chirped”, the more my back pain started to interfere with my life. It got to the point where I was having to decide between doing the things I love (like golfing) or dealing with days of discomfort following a round of golf — or even an hour at the driving range.

I was living my life in a smaller and smaller box as time went on, which made me feel even worse (as a former collegiate athlete, that was not the life I was accustomed to). I started to wonder if it was going to be something I just had to deal with going forward.

Active Life Project took the time to get to know more about me, the person — not just me, the back pain. While they wanted to help silence “the chirp”, they also wanted to get to the reason why it started in the first place.

Above all else, they made the entire process feel more personal than any doctor I’ve ever met. I can’t thank them enough!
